Description:
This course is designed for Naturopathic Doctors who would like to ensure informed consent and record-keeping practice is consistent with the CONO standard. Participants will learn best practices to improve adherence of their informed consent and patient records to the applicable CONO standards. Topics such as EMR, estate planning, and how to conduct robust informed consent are discussed in this course.

• Identify the benefits of informed consent and keeping good records for your patients, their families, other healthcare providers, and yourself.
• Articulate how your obtaining informed consent and record keeping must comply with CONO policies and legislation as they relate to naturopathic practice.
• Use appropriate record-keeping tools when documenting any clinical encounter Approved for 1.0 Category A Credit in Ethics and Jurisprudence by the CONO.
