Pediatric patients can experience significant impairments to their quality of life, mental development, self-esteem, and physical limitations affecting their ability to engage with peers. The effects of AD can also negatively impact caregivers, so pharmacist involvement in the management of pediatric patients with AD should include counseling for caregivers. Expert panelists will discuss a variety of over-the-counter creams and moisturizers, topical prescription agents, emerging biologics, and other medication classes to equip pharmacists to navigate the options for supportive care and treatment of AD.
