Antiviral and immunosuppressive/anti-inflammatory therapies have been included in COVID-19 treatment guidelines for management of hospitalized patients, and it has become especially critical that pharmacists are familiar with the most up-to-date recommendations and authorizations regarding COVID-19 treatment and prevention. This session will focus on evolving recommendations for the use of immunomodulators in the treatment of hospitalized patients with COVID-19.,Educational Objectives:,At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:,• List the risk factors associated with poor outcomes following COVID-19 infection,• Discuss the role of nonsteroid immunomodulators in the treatment of severe COVID-19 infections including efficacy and safety data from clinical trials,• Recognize opportunities that pharmacists have in making clinical recommendations guided by the current NIH and IDSA treatment guidelines for hospitalized patients with severe COVID-19 infections
