Objectives:,• Describe the development of a performance improvement (PI) project with focus on data collection processes and the tools that can be utilized to analyze and display data throughout improvement projects ,• List the specific tools presented for data collection and display as well as those facilitating data analysis and include a description of the applicability of each tool ,• Define health care quality improvement and explain the quality improvement movement and role to be played by improvement science ,• Identify the quality improvement models and methodologies presented and include the aims and goals of each model as well as the elements common to all,• Outline the evidence-based practice models presented and their potential role in guiding the implementation of evidence based practice (EBP)
