Activity Overview
Notable disparities are present both with regard to individuals in the healthcare profession as well as in the delivery of healthcare to the patient population. Increasing awareness of the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion is important for expanding access to high-quality healthcare.
This presentation will be designed to introduce the audience to an important national-level dialogue on the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Additionally, this topic will be tailored to understanding how DEI relates to healthcare practice and note specific steps the profession is taking to improve DEI at an organizational level.

Faculty Information
Andrea Sikora, PharmD, MSCR, BCCCP, FCCM is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy with a practice site in critical care at Augusta University Medical Center. After receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the UGA College of Pharmacy, she went on to complete two years of residency training. She completed an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at UNC Medical Center and continued at UNC for a PGY-2 Critical Care Residency. In 2021, she completed the Georgia Clinical and Translational Science Alliance KL2 Scholars Program and earned her Master of Science in Clinical Research.
