Overview:
The Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (SRU) promotes the science, practice and teaching of sonography to ensure optimal care and professional fulfillment. The SRU has fostered sonography’s advancement in medicine for over three decades. Ultrasound’s unique advantages include noninvasive real-time scanning, portability, instant multiplanar imaging, and a lack of ionizing radiation. In order for radiologists to maintain their leadership in clinical ultrasound imaging, constant training in new technology and techniques must be provided. The pandemic has amplified the importance of sonography and the need for updated guidance.
