Course Description: 
This session will look at how social disparities play a role with renal failure. It will go over how palliative care is part of the overall health care decision and how social disparities impact the decision-making process and options through identifying barriers in understanding and accessing hospice services.

Learning Objectives:
Explore palliative care in renal failure as a part of health care decision making.
Identify how social determinants of health impact this decision-making process.
Identify barriers exacerbating social disparities in accessing palliative care and/or hospice services.
