Description:
This course will address the increased demand for prostate MRI, as prostate cancer diagnosis continues to rise in North American men. Multi-parametric sequences utilizing T2-weighted imaging, diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), and dynamic contrast enhancement (DCE) have led to increased utilization of prostate MRI for detection, localization, staging, risk stratification, active surveillance, recurrence assessment, and guidance for targeted biopsy and focal therapy. Radiologists will gain up-to-date information on the latest standards for prostate examination and mpMRI.
Learning Outcomes and Modules:
After completing this course, the learner should be able to:
• Perform high-quality multi-parametric prostate MRI.
• Interpret multi-parametric prostate MRI according to PI-RADSv2.1.
• Apply tips and recognize potential pitfalls that can mimic prostate cancer.
• Interpret post-treatment prostate MRI with PI-RR.
• Be familiar with local staging, focal therapies, and PSMA PET.
