Overview:
Do you have a difficult conversation that you've been avoiding because you're just not sure what to say or you're afraid of what the other person's reaction will be? You're not alone! We all have that experience and not having a conversation continues the problem. Improving our ability to have tough conversations is a skill that will improve our personal and professional lives. Using the OhioHealth Courageous Conversations model will help you have the courage to hold these conversations by creating a psychologically safe environment for others to express their perspective while maintaining their self-esteem.
Objectives:
After completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Discover ways to improve your communication when faced with difficult situations where stakes are high and emotions run strong.
