This intermediate session provides a brief review of ethical principles and continues with an exploration of the myriad of ethical and moral challenges associated with providing healthcare during a pandemic.
Objectives:
• Contrast traditional ethical principles used as the cornerstone of nursing practice with public health ethics.
• Discuss ethical challenges encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Identify one strategy to address moral distress associated with a pandemic-related ethical challenge.
