Module 1: Surgical Site Infections (SSI): Beyond Antibiotics On Call To OR is organized by American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS).,,This webinar is available through Thursday, August 17, 2023,,Session description:,This session will provide an overview of the burden of SSI as a postoperative complication and review how SSI is defined by various bodies such as the CDC and ACS-NSQIP. It will also discuss the value of registries such as ACS-NSQIP in evaluating SSI rates to determine the need for quality improvement in this arena. The importance of reviewing the entire peri-operative period to identify issues that increase SSI risk will be emphasized.
