A 60-minute recorded webinar presentation on the topic of human trafficking in the state of Michigan. It will include an overview of definitions related to human trafficking along with a discussion of local and state resources and tips for healthcare professionals to identify and support victims of human trafficking. This presentation meets the MI State requirement for one-hour training in the area of human trafficking
Event Objectives
• Examine the complexities of human trafficking, including sex and labor trafficking
• Identify local and state resources, as well as reporting procedures and protocols
• Introduce the role of medical professionals in identifying and assisting victims of human trafficking
