Course Description:
Managing IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) presents a variety of challenges, especially staying up to date with contemporary understanding of the disease state and the new and emerging treatment options. This activity will provide an update on the roles of endothelin, proteinuria, and emerging treatments in IgAN.
Learning Objectives:
• Discuss the pathogenesis of IgAN and the role of endothelin
• Recognize treatment thresholds and proteinuria as a surrogate endpoint
• Evaluate current standard of care versus the potential benefit of emerging therapies in the treatment of IgAN
