Management of Polycythemia Vera and Essential Thrombocythemia is organized by National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and will be held from Dec 15, 2022 - Dec 15, 2023.,,Description:,The goal of treatment of polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocythemia (ET) is to reduce symptom burden and the risk of developing thrombotic and hemorrhagic complications. Regular monitoring of disease related symptoms, assessment of need for cytoreductive therapy, and appropriate evaluation to rule out disease progression should be an integral part of the management of patients with PV and ET. It is important for physicians to stay up to date on treatment recommendations so they can best evaluate available data and select the optimal therapeutic strategy based on the patient’s clinical needs. ,,Learning Objectives:,Following this program, participants should be able to:,• Describe the relevance of “driver mutations” in the diagnosis of polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocythemia (ET).,• Recognize how the prognostic systems for risk stratification can impact treatment recommendations.,• Discuss the various treatment options for patients with PV and ET.,,Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
