Continuing Education Company has been organizing its Primary Care Conference Series for over 30 years. The Essentials in Primary Care Summer Conference is designed to update primary care clinicians in rapidly changing therapeutic areas. The emphasis is on practical and useful information for clinical practice. Join us this July when we hold the 14th Annual Essentials in Primary Care Summer Conference.
Program Objectives
As a result of this conference, participants will be able to:
- Assess and provide patients with an accurate diagnosis and optimal care for a broad range of disorders seen in primary care.
- Utilize current guidelines in the diagnosis and management of commonly encountered therapeutic issues.
- Formulate comprehensive evidence-based interventions and treatment strategies that will lead to the reduction of modifiable risk factors and improved long term outcomes.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™: Continuing Education Company, Inc. (CEC) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Continuing Education Company designates this live activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 20 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
AOA: CME activities approved for AAFP credit and AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are recognized by the AOA as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit.
CFPC: Members of the College of Family Physicians of Canada are eligible to receive 20 MAINPRO-M1 credits for participation in this activity due to reciprocal agreement with the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Nurse Practitioners
AANPCB: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. Nurse Practitioners may receive a maximum of 20 hours of participation, with an estimated 6-10 hours of which can be used towards Pharmacology, for completing this activity.
ANCC: According to ANCC Certification, the continuing education hours approved by the AAFP and AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ meet the requirement of formally approved continuing education hours and may be used as such for ANCC Certification renewal.
Physician Assistants
AAPA: The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts AAFP Prescribed credit and AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for AAPA Category 1 CME credit.
