Overview:
This lecture will review the legal requirements for reporting cases of adult abuse, child abuse and human trafficking.

Objectives:
• Discuss the legal requirements for reporting cases of adult abuse, child abuse and human trafficking.
• Review the subtle difference between reporting obligations found in the Public Health Code, the Social Welfare Act and the Penal Code.
• Discuss the process that occurs during investigation of these cases (i.e. Child protective services, law enforcement).
• Recognize the existence of Beaumont Health policies on these topics.
