Overview:
This interactive webinar will provide insight and in-depth training on the 10 Principles of Intuitive Eating. Intuitive Eating is about building a healthy relationship with food, but at the same time building up your self-esteem and re-claiming connection with our hunger and fullness cues that we were born with but somewhere in between infancy and where we find ourselves today, we have become disconnected.
Intuitive Eating works to get that connection back! This training will discuss the 10 principles in-depth and discuss each of them, apply them to practice, and provide useful tools to navigate our patients principle by principle through the recovery of an eating disorder, disordered eating, yo-yo dieting, or anyone wanting to be more aware of how eating, foods, and our behaviors and thoughts can change by applying intuitive eating to our daily lives.
Objectives:
• Define what Intuitive Eating (IE) is, how it is utilized, and why it is effective.
• Discuss Intuitive Eating vs Mindful Eating and explain how Intuitive Eating works to alleviate chaotic and rigid behavior patterns and thoughts.
• Explain the 10 principles of Intuitive Eating in-depth and present tools useful in treatment for each of those 10 principles.
• Discuss the most common principles of IE that present challenge, fear/worry, or committed effort to maintain and achieve, and why.
