The aim of the certificate course is to impart specific professional skills for optimal Nutrition therapy advice and care for adult patients with obesity. Included nutritional therapy is the focus of interdisciplinary long-term care Event.In this training event, practice-oriented intervention options are learned and applied in practice using case studies. The spectrum ranges from the conventional Nutritional therapy through to nutritional support for patients obesity surgical interventions.

• Physiological and pathophysiological basis of obesity
• Biochemical basics
• Energy metabolism
• Hunger and satiety (medically and psychologically)
• Clinical picture and secondary diseases
• Diet therapy in individual counseling and patient training
• Medical therapy
• Surgical measures, including diet therapy
• Psychology of obesity and behavioral approaches to patient management in the Advice
• Mental illnesses: eating disorders, depression, psychoses, etc.
