Overview:
Clients with food aversions, feeding disorders, and disordered eating can be very difficult in nutrition therapy. Food challenges and exposures are an important part of nutrition counseling toward independent eating. Dietitians counseling these types of clients should learn and practice appropriate methods for conducting challenges and exposures. There are overall principles to consider, as well as how to more specifically help clients with different feeding issues work on including more varied food choices. This webinar is intended to help dietitians develop a knowledge base to learn how to approach food challenges and exposures.

• Know how to appropriately issue food challenges for progress in nutrition counseling.
