Ethics in Social Media for the Dietitian

Ethics in Social Media for the Dietitian is organized by Dietitian Central.
Live Event Date: Feb 24, 2021
Expiration Date: Feb 24, 2024
Overview:
Can I use content from other social media accounts? Does "Intellectual Property" apply to social media content? What do I do if I observe online misinformation from fellow RDs?
These questions and concerns are likely experienced at some point throughout the RD's career. Online communications and social media are viable methods in building and engaging with audiences, and promoting products and services. However, the dietitian is bound to ethical and professional practice. Caution must be taken while publishing content and engaging with colleagues and the general public.
Join us during this course to gain confidence in the dos and don'ts of online communications. This session meets the RD requirement for a unit of "ETHICS" during a 5 year renewal period.
Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:

• Describe at least 1 appropriate method of action for both engagement/response and reporting.
• Locate the Academy’s associated Practice Paper for social media best practices
