Expiration Date: 07/01/2026
Description:
Hemodynamics, Part 2 provides an in-depth review of nursing priorities for hemodynamic monitoring, pulmonary artery pressure monitoring, assessment and consequences of cardiac output monitoring, assessment and interventions for oxygenation and oxygen transport, and nursing priorities when intervening for alterations in preload, afterload and contractility, including vasoactive medication management. Within each topic area, you will explore measures to ensure accuracy, troubleshoot monitoring issues, intervene for alterations and prevent complications.
Learning Objectives:
• Assist with a virtual pulmonary artery (PA) catheter insertion. Analyze the PA catheter waveforms. Recognize and prevent complications associated with PA catheters.
