Balanced Women’s Health at All Ages with a WFPB Diet
Balanced Women’s Health at All Ages with a WFPB Diet is organized by American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and will be held from Jul 01, 2022 - Jul 01, 2025.
Description:
A WFPB dietary approach supports women’s health across the lifespan. Dietary choices impact women’s overall reproductive health as well as hormonally driven conditions such as PMS and PCOS while also impacting the preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum periods. Lifestyle medicine including a WFPB diet also benefits women during the menopausal transition and beyond. Sexual health, bone health, and breast health are also impacted by women’s daily food choices. During this presentation, attendees will hear about recent research that shows how a WFPB diet supports women’s health at all ages.
Learning Objectives:
• Evaluate how a whole food plant-based dietary pattern supports women with PMS and PCOS
• Discuss strategies to support sexual and breast health with a whole food plant-based dietary pattern
• Identify ways that a whole food plant-based dietary pattern impacts women’s health during the menopause transition and beyond
