This program is designed to provide imaging professionals with an overview of 3D imaging techniques for computed tomography. The content addresses concepts of 3D image generation, post-processing techniques, and treatment applications.
Program Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Relate some of the historical perspectives and key milestones in 3D imaging development.
- Define the purpose and basic process for 3D imaging including 3D scanning and image generation.
- Identify common 3D space transformations.
- Describe several post-processing techniques with their specific advantages, disadvantages, and appropriate clinical applications.
- Discuss some of the current and future issues related to 3D imaging, including the role of the technologist.
