This presentation will focus on the impact of prolonged hyperglycemia on hearing loss, balance issues and depression. We'll specifically talk about the importance of setting up appropriate care team infrastructure to refer and treat these complications. Presenters will review the appropriate assessment techniques, what happens after a referral is made and the impact of untreated hearing loss on the person with diabetes. There will then be a focus on how to decrease prolonged hyperglycemia by focusing on managing post meal blood sugars.
