Objectives
The intended result of this activity is increased knowledge/competence, and upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

• Diagnose patients with persistent asthma and recommend SMART therapy if applicable, based on 2020 NAEPP Asthma Update Guidelines
• Counsel patients regarding the use of a single inhaler for both maintenance and rescue treatment
• Anticipate and plan for potential barriers to the implementation of SMART
