Ongoing investigations have focused on developing these agents for use as both monotherapy and in combination regimens. This activity will provide pharmacists with clinical data for BCMA-targeted therapies, including a discussion on efficacy and adverse effect management. Managed care pharmacists must consider the future role of agents targeting BCMA in patients with MM and determine clinical eligibility criteria to facilitate patient access to these treatments. Strategies for managed care pharmacists to incorporate pathways in accordance with guideline recommendations, improve healthcare resource utilization, and ensure the appropriate use of emerging BCMA-targeted therapies will be presented.,Educational Objectives:,At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:,• Illustrate the mechanism of B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) as a therapeutic target for multiple myeloma (MM) to better understand the use of these targeted therapies in treatment algorithms,• Identify the place in therapy for BCMA-targeted therapies in MM and the patient populations who may be candidates for treatment,• Analyze strategies for evaluating and developing clinical eligibility criteria for the cost-effective use of BCMA-targeted therapies in the treatment of MM
