Treating Anemia of CKD Moving from ESAs to Oral Options

Treating Anemia of CKD Moving from ESAs to Oral Options is organized by National Kidney Foundation (NKF).
Available From: 6/20/2023
Available Until: 6/20/2024
Course Description:
Patients with chronic kidney disease are prone to iron deficiency leading to anemia. This breakfast symposium will provide a candid conversation about current treatment strategies along with their risks and benefits, emergence of novel therapy options including clinical trial data, and incorporation of various care options into practice. Additionally, applicable case studies will be presented to educate nephrologists and HCPs with appropriate management plans for patients who are receiving dialysis.
Learning Objectives:
• Assess the clinical implications of the recommendations of and challenges recognized by the December 2021 KDIGO Controversies Conference on Novel Anemia Therapies in CKD
• Relate the role of HIF-PHI in anemia associated with CKD to the rationale for developing therapies that targets PH inhibition
• Evaluate the clinical implications of emerging data and clinical implications of PH inhibition as a strategy to address anemia in CKD
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
