Teen Sedation Dentistry: Sharpen Your Skills in a Convenient Online Course

Teen Sedation Dentistry: Sharpen Your Skills in a Convenient Online Course is organized by DOCS Education. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 7 CE hours.
Course Description:
This online course is designed to train dentists on sedation protocols to meet the needs of teen patients, age 13 to 18 years. This particular group of patients are no longer children, but not quite adults and have specific needs when it comes to sedation. However, dentists who already practice adult sedation can implement the teen sedation protocols quickly and without the need for a large investment in new equipment or materials. The course is taught by leading DOCS Education faculty and experts who introduce four unique protocols specifically tailored to teen patients’ unique needs.
Four Reasons to Take Teen Sedation Dentistry:
• Teen patients require different sedation protocols from those taught in the Oral Sedation Dentistry and Pediatric Sedation Dentistry courses.
• Four different protocols will be introduced to treat teenage sedation patients ages 13-18.
• Teenagers who need or could benefit from sedation dentistry are a large, untapped portion of the patient population.
• Teen sedation dentistry does not require a large investment in new equipment or materials for general dentists who already practice adult sedation dentistry. Dentists can implement their new skills and protocols quickly and effectively within their present office settings.
Course topics include:
• Physiology
• Pharmacology
• The differences between teen patients and other age groups
• Case selection and who NOT to treat
• New protocols
• Emergency preparedness
