Substance and Opioid Use Disorders

Substance and Opioid Use Disorders is Dr. Onyejekwe’s 3rd presentation covering their respective clinical definitions, signs and symptoms, the abuse potential related to Gabapentin and Pregabalin and a patient-centered approach with treatment options including Medication - Assisted Treatment (MAT) which has been shown to significantly reduce the need for inpatient detoxification services. By providing valuable provider links and resources, the program serves as an excellent stepping stone for those providers unfamiliar with the process and medications pertaining to Medication - Assisted Treatment.
