Description:
Stroke is a complex disease caused by the disruption of blood flow to a part of the brain. This course will provide an overview of the brain’s anatomy, explain the physiology related to the different types of stroke, and discuss the basic imaging techniques used in stroke care diagnosis and management.

Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this online course, the learner will be able to: 
• Review the brain’s anatomy (structures and vasculature) with regard to stroke.
• Describe an overview of stroke subtypes.
• Identify the mechanism and physiology of each stroke type.
• Create an overview of stroke symptoms in relation to the vascular territory affected.
• Generate an overview of imaging techniques used in stroke.
