Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) 42nd Annual Pregnancy Meeting

Registration is open for the 42nd Annual Pregnancy Meeting, taking place January 31 - February 5, 2022 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center near Orlando, Florida. The Annual Meeting is the centerpiece of the Society's work and the premier event for learning about cutting-edge science in obstetrics and for connecting with leaders in maternal-fetal medicine and features postgraduate courses, oral and poster abstract presentations, and networking events. 

Hybrid Meeting Format

The 2022 Annual Meeting will be held in-person at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center. Select postgraduate courses and the two plenary sessions will be available in a hybrid format, allowing virtual participation. All sessions will be clearly marked to indicate whether they are only taking place in-person or if they are being held in a hybrid (in-person and virtual) or fully virtual format. Registrants will have the opportunity to indicate whether they will participate virtually or in-person during the registration process; the registration fees are the same regardless of participation method. You may also change your participation method at any point prior to the meeting. All meeting registrants will have access to the hybrid meeting site featuring the poster wall and recorded content from January 10 until April 30, 2022.

In-person meeting (Scientific Sessions) registration includes:

-More than 100 oral abstract presentations, presented in 11 different sessions

-4 poster sessions, featuring more than 1,000 posters

-21 scientific forums

-Access to the livestreams and recorded content for the oral sessions.

-Access to the digital poster wall to view over 1,000 e-posters and interact with abstract authors.

-Networking, special interest sessions, and other ancillary events

Virtual meeting (Scientific Sessions) registration includes: 

-Access to the livestreams of the Oral Plenary Session and Fellows Plenary Session, including the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A following each presentation.

-Recordings for more than 100 oral abstract presentations, presented in 11 different sessions (available following the meeting).

-Access to the digital poster wall to view more than 1,000 e-posters and interact with abstract authors.

In-person Postgraduate Course registration includes:

-The opportunity to participate in hands-on simulation courses.

-Access to the course materials prior to the course.

-Access to the recorded content following the meeting, until April 30. 2022

Virtual Postgraduate Course registration includes:

-Access to the course materials prior to the course

-Access to the livestream on the day of the course 

-Access to the recorded content following the meeting, until April 30. 2022

Onsite Safety Precautions: SMFM and the Gaylord Palms Resort are committed to ensuring the safety of all attendees. Please click here for more information about initiatives at the Gaylord Palms. Attendees are also required to affirm their understanding of the SMFM duty of care and code of conduct prior to registering for the course.

-All meeting registrants, faculty, SMFM staff, and vendors contracted by SMFM must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Registrants are also strongly encouraged to get the flu vaccine and COVID-19 booster at least two weeks prior to attending the meeting.

-During the meeting, physical distancing will be encouraged when possible.  Outdoor spaces will also be utilized for social functions.  

-Face coverings will be required unless actively eating or drinking. Hotel staff and all vendors contracted by SMFM will wear face coverings while servicing our meeting regardless of the local mask mandate.

-The hotel and convention center will continue increased sanitization practices.

-Attendees are encouraged to join Marriott's loyalty program in order to bypass the front desk and utilize mobile check-in.

Annual Meeting Cancellation Policy

Registrants can change their registration selections online. A $15 administration fee will be charged (on the day of the change) for any changes made to your registration selections that result in a refund.    

If a full cancellation is needed:

• Cancellation prior to January 12, 2022 to receive a full refund, less a $75 administrative fee.
• Cancellation after January 12, 2022 does not provide any refunds.
• Substitutions and transfers to full virtual registration are permitted at no cost.
