Program Overview: Sickle Cell 2024
The goal of this symposium is to expose health professionals and scientists to up-to-date information on Sickle Cell Disease.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the benefits and limitations of currently available therapies for sickle cell disease, including newly approved agents.
- Discuss how both allogeneic stem cell transplantation and developing stem cell therapies can halt the progression of sickle cell disease-related complications and potentially improve long-term survival.
- Develop an approach for identifying patients who are candidates for stem cell therapies and then collaborating with experienced transplantation centers.
