Precepting is more than having a student follow you around in clinic. Precepting is an active endeavor where we support the growth of graduate clinicians. Each clinical encounter has the opportunity to expand their learning beyond the patient appointment. As clinical educators we are tasked with helping students become their own best clinical selves. This webinar will explore adaptive strategies to deepen student learning, way to help them self-assess their processes, and how we can assist them in making connections will be discussed. Practical strategies that can be implemented in any setting will be given.

1. Discuss how a preceptor can best support the growth of graduate clinicians.
2. Explore adaptive strategies for precepting that deepen student learning.
