Pediatric ECGS: Emergency Room Cases

Pediatric ECGS: Emergency Room Cases is organized by CardioVillage.
Publication date: Mar 19, 2020
Expiration date: Mar 19, 2026
Course Description:
Electrocardiography is typically the first cardiac test established in adult and pediatric patients presenting with potential cardiac abnormalities. Pediatric patients have a unique physiology that swiftly changes from fetal to infant ages and then throughout childhood. These physiologic changes are revealed by changes in the electrocardiogram. In this series of case presentations, you will learn to recognize common conditions that are reflected in the pediatric ECG.
Learning Objectives:
In this course, you will learn:
• To explain the basic principles of the cardiac electrical conduction system
• To understand the formation of the 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG)
• To recall the changes in physiology that occur in the normal newborn heart and how this is exhibited in the pediatric ECG
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
