Description:
This course is designed to provide a roadmap for the differential diagnosis of pain and a review of opioid and controlled substance use/misuse disorders screen and treatment. The end goal is to share the ability to use characteristics of pain as clues to discover the underlying disease and treat the cause accordingly. We emphasize the detection of common as well as malignant causes of pain. Our approach seeks to improve diagnostic accuracy, minimize the risk of error, and reduce medical liability.
