Description:
OH specific training is needed to support the implementation of High Sensitivity Troponin across central OH care sites and to support considerations for OH regional cares sites that will not be switching.
In order to receive credit for this session, you must watch the video and complete the evaluation.
Objectives:
• Recognize the differences between troponin-T and troponin-I and recognize how interpretation of the two assays is standardized.
• Explain the role of delta troponin, the serial change of troponin over time, and how it is used to confirm or exclude acute cardiac injury.
• Describe a broad differential of cardiac and non-cardiac conditions associated with low level abnormal troponin readings.
