Today's healthcare environment demands nurses with current knowledge of evidence-based practice and the research process. Teaching research across the academic spectrum is a challenge for nurse educators. This seminar will provide nurse educators with much-needed information about stimulating student interest in learning nursing research using creative teaching strategies. Faculty will learn, through practicing selected strategies, how to incorporate innovative techniques into nursing research content. Strategies may be adapted for personal teaching style and content, and are effective methods to teach today's nursing students about the world of nursing research.
Objectives:
• Explore the challenges nursing educators confront when teaching research to nursing students.
• Describe more than 20 strategies to enhance student learning of nursing research content.
• Discuss methods to incorporate selected strategies into personal nursing research practice.
