Next Level Endodontics: Modern Endodontics, Theory to Practice

Next Level Endodontics: Modern Endodontics, Theory to Practice is organized by Dentaltown, L.L.C.
Released: 06/01/2016
Expiration Date: 06/30/2025
Overview:
The best prognosis for root canal treatment is achieved if the apical 3mm of the canal is optimally cleaned while not unnecessarily removing coronal dentin. A correct diagnosis and the blending of new materials and techniques can lead to a healthy apical periodontium and optimal survivability of the tooth. This lecture will cover simple, safe and scientifically proven techniques for treatment that ensure an extremely high success rate and survivability.
This talk will emphasize the biologic requirement for successful endodontics. Strategies using cutting edge instrumentation and root filling technologies will be discussed that promise equally excellent results for vital and non-vital teeth both for prevention and treatment of apical periodontitis and for the long-term survivability of the tooth.
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to achieve the following:
• Know the biologic requirements for endodontic success.
• Differentiate between a vital and non-vital tooth in terms of meeting these requirements.
• Know to what extent the newest technologies in endodontics assist in attaining these biologic goals.
• Understand the properties of bioceramic sealers so as to allow a conservative cold hydraulic obturation technique.
