Learn about oncology topics including differentiating testicular pathology with ultrasound and penile lesions with MRI, and describing urothelial cell carcinoma imaging findings.
Learning Outcomes and Modules:
After completing this course, the learner should be able to:
- Recognize normal anatomy of the male genitourinary (GU) system including the prostate, bladder, penis, and scrotal contents
- Describe common syndromes with GU anomalies that are found on prenatal and pediatric imaging examinations
- Differentiate intratesticular and extratesticular pathology with ultrasound
- Describe imaging findings of different sites and T-stages (of TNM staging) of urothelial cell carcinoma in male genitourinary tract
- Recognize imaging finding for pre and post-testicular and testicular causes of male infertility
- Differentiate benign and malignant penile lesions with MRI
Module 1
- Male GU Anatomy—G. Wile
- MR of the Penis: What you need to know—C. Bolan

- Imaging in Male Infertility—J.D. LeGout
Module 2
- Urothelial Cell Carcinoma of the Male Urinary Tract—M. Harri
- Multiparametric Prostate MRI for Prostate Cancer and PI-RADS v2—M. Harri
- Scrotal Masses: Imaging of Intra- and Extra-testicular Pathology—L. Alexander
