Overview:
A brief overview of the indications for coronectomy of the impacted third mandibular molar will be presented. The radiographic findings of a potentially close relationship between the root(s) of the impacted third molar and the mandibular canal will be discussed. In addition, the preferred surgical procedure of coronectomy and its potential complications will be described, and long-term possible complications will be addressed.
