Incentivizing HEALTH in Healthcare
Incentivizing HEALTH in Healthcare is organized by American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and will be held from Jul 01, 2022 - Jul 01, 2025.
Description:
The United States has the most complex healthcare reimbursement structure in the entire world, burdened with higher costs and poorer outcomes. Many US policy healthcare reimbursement initiatives are being considered to offset costs and improve quality. A value-based care model is meant to incentivize value, not volume. Experts in reimbursement strategy, policy, and practice come together to share their insights and experiences related to how lifestyle medicine can be implemented in current and future healthcare environments.
Learning Objectives:
• Define and differentiate the value-based care model and value-based reimbursement
• List opportunities for lifestyle medicine to fit into value-based care models
• Recognize potential reimbursement benefits and risk
• Envision future healthcare pathways that include a strong foundation for lifestyle medicine
• Discover advocacy and policy opportunities toward better healthcare reimbursement for lifestyle medicine
