Overview:
Head and neck cancer is the eighth most common cancer in the United States and is predicted to affect approximately 48,000 people in 2016. A variety of carcinogens have been purported to be of etiologic significance including the excessive use of alcohol and tobacco products, chronic trauma, and viruses including Epstein-Barr virus and human papillomavirus (HPV). This 90-minute webinar reviews the currently available information regarding the significance of HPV in head and neck cancer.
