This year's symposium had an overall topic of pharmacognosy which was a favorite area of Dean Schwarting's. This presentation discusses how herbal medications can impact cancer treatment.

• Describe different mechanisms of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic-based herb-drug interactions
• Identify common herb/chemotherapy interactions
