Event Date: June 19, 2020,End Date: June 19, 2023,Course Description:,Michigan health data shows that infant mortality has been decreasing but the gap between different races remains. (Michigan Trends in Infant Mortality by Race/Ethnicity); Michigan has added the term sleep-related infant death to the registry and is tracking deaths. Trends show and reinforce current CDC and NIH guidelines for safe sleep can reduce infant deaths but are not always being used; Sleep-related infant death is still a leading cause of death among infants less than 1 year of age.
