Gastrointestinal issues such as abdominal pain, constipation and GERD are some common co-morbidities in persons with autism. Through this webinar one will learn about the recognition and diagnostic evaluation of gastrointestinal issues autistic individuals, including their frequent presentation with behavioral manifestations.
Learning Objectives:
• Recognize the varied manifestations and diagnostic evaluation of diverse gastrointestinal conditions that are frequent co-morbidities for persons with autism.
• Identify barriers to the assessment and adequate clinical care of GI concerns for persons with autism.
• Recognize key gaps in our clinical understanding and management of patients with autism.
