The ANA Nursing Knowledge Center presents Fundamentals of Nurse Staffing Building an Optimal Staffing Model. This course provides insight into how to build an optimal staffing plan that includes staffing model construction, data-driven staffing plans for work environments, formulas, and management of overtime. With short-term margin pressure, rising nurse salaries, and an impending workforce shortage, staffing and scheduling are top concerns of nurses.
This course consists of 6 modules where you will be immersed in independent study combined with multimedia knowledge checks. All resource materials will be provided as you gain new knowledge, skills, and abilities that will help you understand, build, and integrate the components of a staffing plan.
