Overview:
This program features several case studies that demonstrate the continual emergent trend of reducing the invasive nature, and thus, the efficiency of implant surgery. Topics discussed include: The no-drill implant procedure’s effectiveness and high success rate is explored and techniques used to perform this procedure are discussed in detail. Utilizing shorter implant sizes to accomplish successful implant placement without expensive, time-consuming and invasive grafting procedures. The five-minute implant, abutment and crown procedure. The one-drill implant procedure is outlined in detail and explored through several case studies. Minimally invasive sinus bump procedures are explored to an alternative open sinus surgery. Titanium-based PFMs are explored as a new frontier of implant crown restorations.
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to achieve the following:
• Identify situations that lend themselves to the clinical application of the "no-drill" implant procedure. Clinicians should be able to outline the steps necessary to successfully complete this procedure in an efficient manner.
• Identify the suitable clinical situations for and learn to complete the five flapless/sutureless soft-tissue surgical implant access procedures (to include the high-speed handpiece approach and mini-envelope procedures).
• Identify clinical situations where an implant can be predictably placed into the site of a freshly extracted tooth with the use of only one drill to complete the procedure.
• Provide the order in which to proceed in cases involving general dentistry (crown and bridge work) and the fiveminute implant, abutment and crown procedure.
• List several procedures that can be incorporated into your own practice immediately or within two weeks of attending a workshop highlighting these techniques.
Note: The fee to view this course is $36. This cost includes the fee to take the exam and claim your CE credits.
