ETM Course was launched in November 2013 and brings a fresh approach to the teaching of trauma management in the Emergency Department. The course has developed a strong reputation for having the most up-to-date, relevant and practical trauma content of any available short course in this field.
Learning Objectives of the 3-day Face-to-face Course:
• Participants will be able to demonstrate a systematic approach to the reception and resuscitation of the major trauma patient.
• Participants will be able to perform critical procedures to treat life threats detected in major trauma patients.
• Participants will be able to recognise, prepare for transfer and refer a major trauma patient to a major trauma centre.
• Participants will be able to describe the causes of error in trauma resuscitation and reduce preventable error by using resuscitation room management skills.
• Participants will be able to effectively team lead and effectively participate as a team member during trauma reception and resuscitation
