Course Description:
Medical emergencies can, and do, occur in the practice of dentistry.  This section discusses:
• What happens,
• When it happens, and
• How to prepare the office and staff to efficiently recognize and manage these problems.

Educational Objectives:
Upon completing this section the student should be able to:
• List the most common medical emergenicies in the dental environment
• Name those medical emergencies that are stress related.
• List and discuss the steps involved in preparation of the dental office staff to promptly recognize and manage medical emergencies.
