At the conclusion of this 2-hour webinar, you will be able to:
- State the main reason that a DSMES/T program should seek either ADCES Accreditation or ADA Recognition(hint: has to do with reimbursement).
- Name the benefits of obtaining and maintaining DSMES/T program certification (i.e., Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists Accreditation or American Diabetes Association Recognition).Note: Medicare calls these "certifications".
- Name all the completed forms required in the de-identified patient chart that are submitted to ADCES or ADA as part of the original application.
- State the ADA and the ADCES names of the 2 types of off-site locations for a DSMES/T program and explain the key differences.
- Name the titles of each of the brand new (2022) 6 National Standards of DSMES (NSDSMES). Must adhere to them for certification.
